Bump
Hey Greasyglue, just curious what ever came of this. I have a feeling this "junction block" could be where my problem is too.
I took off my kick panel but couldn't tell what Ron was talking about.
Any info you could provide would be very helpful.
Thanks!

Wasn't the junction box for me I tore that thing out and cleaned up some contacts. When I got the truck I found out it had a built 8n air compressor (pretty cool huh!) No idea how they managed that but it's in there and hidden well and functions. The compressor was my problem there was too much of a draw from the battery on it so when I disconnected the compressor wire from the battery she fired right up!!! Felt really stupid to overlook something so simple and right in front of my face!! Now I need to do the c.v. s and repack bearings and some other stuff.

Thanks for the reply greasyglue. It turned out to be the 80 amp fuse in the fuse box under the hood. Quite a pain to replace since it comes out from the bottom and bolts in! It's basically the fuse that the positive wire from the battery connects to, therefor when it does blow, it causes a lot of things to not work (all 5 power windows, dash lights, warning lights, starter, radio etc.
If these things aren't working for any of you other folks, check out that main fuse. It's got a clear top, so it's easy to see if it's blown or not. If it's blown, here's how to replace it:
1) Disconnect the battery... Trust me!
2) Unbolt the 2 10 or 12 mm hex bolts that hold the fuse box to the fender well.
3) With a small flathead screwdriver, remove the bottom cover to that fuse box by carefully prying the tabs on the fender side of the fuse box, and then swing it down so that it can disconnect on the engine side of the fuse box.
4) While pushing the tab next to the fuse itself, push the fuse down through the bottom of the fuse box.
5) Unbolt the wires from each side of the fuse.
6) Install new fuse and put everything back together.
Hope this helps other folks!
