These people make a bumper with a swing out tire carrier. I have one on order for my T100: Kennesaw Mountain accessories This link is to the page for 4runner http://www.kenmtnac.com/McToy.html There home site is www.kenmtn.com. The bumper is called the multi-carrier

Yes, you are exactly correct. They are no good on pavement as far as wear. Got so bad that I have to trailer this bad boy wherever I want to take it. I love them in the mud/rocks. Awesome tire, for off-road use only though.

I definitally like the 4" lift. It looks good... Not to much not to little.... I was kinda thinking of doing a 2" body and a 2" suspension.... What do you think is better to do??? Also on those 4" suspension kits, are you just cranking the torsion bars all the way up and just putting new rear coils. Or is something included for the torsion bars.. CV's arent getting pinched to much are they?

Figured i add to my own thread!
Heres mine!

4" trailmaster lift, 33x12.50 dunlop at's (borrowing from a friend) on 15X10 inch wheels, rubs a little on tight turns when suspension flexs but only on the right side. Hoping that will go away with an alignment.

just for the other side of the fence. i've got lc coils in the rear and 1.5 bj spacers up front and clear 33 x 12 mt's with the factory running boards still on lol.

makes it easier to get the 1 year old buckled into the back on wheeling trips. turns full lock to lock with no rubbing unless theres maximum mud in the fenderwells.

904_Runner Looks good... The only thin I would do is after the alignment have the front brackets welded together (just good tack welds) to keep it true. With all those bolts it's sure to get knocked out. (Make it more like the other lifts.)

Parts - T86LAB to front crossmember
- T86LAB to rear crossmember T86CB
Just my $0.02

You know, another thing i was thinking was because everybody says the rear crossmember is weak, and i have another front crossmember in my garage, and im thinking about replacing the two. Haven't compaired the two to see if it will work, but it was just a thought i had.

If it'll fit - Good Idea... If not you could always make your own... I know what you are saying about them being weak.... I have the same lift in my barn - may or may not go on my truck.... Depends on how large a tire i need... Right now the 33's are fine, but who knows 35's may be in the future just to see if my 87 YJ is or is not better in the mud... But I can tell you right now My YJ I6 Ba10/5 NP231, 3.07's w/SOA and 2" lift shackles is currently not better than my Stock 90 4Runner with 33" Hercules Durango MT's. Nore off camber or really anywhere else.... But it is taller.... Then again I've wheeled my Runner since stock (for me) for about 8 years....

This is 4Runner 2.5" Tire only = 2.5"
VS.
6" SOA swap
2" Shackle lift
3.5" tire difference = 11.5"
To be where the YJ is all I need is a small body lift and the 4" suspension lift, I wouldn't even need the 35" Tires....
To make you all feel better, the YJ is getting my spare Toy axle with a spool and 4.10's and for now my extra D30 and 4.10's...

Just with the limited amount of driving(2 or 3 miles so far) and sitting in it cleaning it with the lift on, i personally like the hight it is at, not to tall, i think it is perfect hight for myself. I can actually almost sit straight up under the the back to work on stuff. haha
I think i might try to put that other crossmember in place of the rear one, since it does seem stronger. And i will definitely do a little welding on those brackets, i will have to find access to a welder for a quick minute.

Search lc coils or something like that. I think, but could be wrong, mine came off a 93' land cruiser.
Also, for you guys with lc coils, did you have to extend the rear brake line? Im pretty sure i need to, there is still some slack in it, but not enough for 4wheeling with. Probably going to order the $30 one from wabfab.

Okay i am looking at getting new wheels/tires and am not sure what backspacing i need. would 4" backspacing work? I was running the stock rims with my 31's and it was fine.
Im just looking for the black rockcrawling looking steel wheels, and am haveing a hard time finding which ones would work
Thanks!
