pics of Taurus fan install

Ok...I've read the posts on the install, but they don't have pics on how there are mounted. I have a hybrid FAL fan that disintegrated and took out the radiator in a frontend accident....by hybrid I mean the fan controls no longer worked (and were removed), so it was run off a temp sensor in the radiaor connected to a relay.

I'm hoping I can just swap fans...most of the writeups seem a little more complicated.

Does anyone have pics of how they installed their fans?

I think that would be more helpful than a pic of the donor car, lmao

If you match that fan up to fit the shroud bolting it on is easy.

I'd post pics of my 16" fan install, but my photobucket account bandwidth shot through the roof when I posted pics for selling my truck, so now none of the pics work untill the 16th of this month, lol

not a Taurus fan, and not a two speed, but hooked to a temp control box, and an AC over-ride on, and also a manual over-ride on and off installed with a 3 position switch in the cab, it works really well

I finally got my fan....I was looking at your site and was wondering how you mounted the fan on the side that you trimmed?

Also, it says you took 1/2 in off the FRONT of the shroud...did you need to? I would like to keep using the mounting holes.

As far as wiring, do you know which pin is for the low speed?

I thought I would follow up and show pictures of my install:

The fan on the radiator

I cut and notched the long side of the fan to uses it for mounting.

notched end

sensory and eFan mounting tabs....I put them on the ribs of the fan.

I didn't have the connector so I made mine. I tested the leads the center one was only 10amps and the left side was 18 amps....so I'm using the lower amp setting.

close up of the other side

I'm using a hayden relay/sensor kit. I mounted it in the engine fuse box.

I will be wrapping the quick disconnect in a loom
