Get those chrome wheel well guards off of there. If it starts to rust, that is usually where it begins.

You runner is basically my exact twin with the exception of the solid axle.

Well Ive had the rack for probably about 2 years now and i have not had a single problem with the rack hitting anything...yet. So far everything seems to just slide down it. Hasnt been a problem at all.
