PCV causes a smoking tailpipe.

So I've been running here in CA for a few months without any PCV hooked up and I figured it'd be smart if I get pulled over to hook it back up (even though I know they wont inspect under my hood for it). So I go and buy a new PCV and hooked up the lines. Now when I put the car under boost pressure it smokes like a chimney but it only seems to happen when boost pressure kicks in. I disconnected it and plugged the vacuum line again and no smoke... Anyone got ideas on whats wrong with this thing?

Engine...?

Cylinder head cover baffle plates missing and or damaged inducing oil into intake...?

PCV valve stuck open/closed...?

Incorrect PCV valve...?

Its not the engine from what I could tell. No loss of power and pretty low HC levels (under allowable levels) in the oil. My guess is its not stuck open or I'd be blowing the valve cover gasket. The pcv is brand new so it shouldn't be bad I hope. Seems kinda odd.
