Part Number look-up, Oil Gage assembly:
Oil Gage assembly:

For a while know Ive been trying to get my oil pressure gage working, so I bought a new sensor, the new one I bought was for an SR5 model, so I had to return it. I have a 94 pickup 2wd, 22-re 4cyl DXL. I just got the right one, which looks identicle to the old one, the one for the SR5 model didnt. the numbers on the new one reads: 12v 5f, my old one reads: 12v 7f. Anyways I put the new one in, that looks identicle to the original assembly(sensor) and still no pressure reading on the pressure gage.
Ive mention this thread before on how I grounded the signal wire to the body and the gage began to raise slowly and didnt fully pin itself, only half way through the pressure reading. Many recommended I get a pressure gage and directly connect the gage to the motor block.
I dont think its the pressure inside the block I am thinking it might be an electrical problem, because the gage didnt pin itself.
Iam also skepticle of everything because the wrong parts that the dealor has been givin me in the past. So Iam not sure of anything.
