Part identification -- intake boot?
Anyone know what this part of the intake is called (the large hose with the duct tape on it going into the throttle body)? The duct tape isn't cutting it for the long term and I need to get a new...thing-a-muh-bobby, but I don't know what to search terms to enter (online or for the dealer).
Also, any idea where to find a replacement for cheap?
Gracias,
Ed

that is just your intake hose. find a junk yard, an online junkyard, or shop around online. any toyota dealership will be able to give you the part number for it. just call and ask.

I would call it an Intake Duct, but your best bet is to contact NorthRidgeToyota (member, the guys with the 25% off offer) with the picture, and he will most likely be able to help you.

Or replace the whole assembly with a K&N FIPK or similar. Not for the performance - just the availability and cleaner look (3 HP isn't worth that much $)

Uh, guys, that is the K&N FIPK at the front of the intake. A little dirty, I know...
It's the hose that the FIPK joins to as you're moving toward the throttle body that is cracked and jacked. I'm hoping I can find one at a junkyard but I have had any luck yet.

No, the plastic bent arm duct behind the AFM is the other part of the FIPK. I'm certain I have the entire apparatus.
So the ISR mod replaces the housing all the way up to the throttle body? I'll have to check that out.

It utilizes the factory rubber intake hose.

I replaced both intake hoses. Yeah, they were expensive. I didn't know about ISR mods back then. If I have to do it again I think I'll go ISR. If you need a stock part check with TRDparts4U.com or ask Strap22. They have great prices and service.
