Parking brake not engaging.

I searched and searched before making this thread but none of the solutions from other threads have helped.

Like the title says my parking brake won't engage. It was working fine a few months ago then all of a sudden it stopped engaging. I don't have any broken cables as I pull the parking brake handle all the cables tighten up.

It's like the brake pads aren't being pushed out far enough. I tightened bell crank nut up by the T-case and that didn't tight anything up either.

I also noticed the adjustment lever falling off of the adjuster when I pull the parking brake handle to far. So I'm not sure if that has to do with anything. Also the lever hardly sits on the adjuster wheel.

My lack of mechanical knowledge has stumped me.

Does anyone have any ideas?

Have you tried adjusting the rear brakes? On the back of the drums there is a small oval slot covered by a plug in which you can use a flathead screwdriver to turn the little wheel that adjusts your rear brakes.

yes try adjusting the back breaks if that dont work depending on your funds martin crawler offers a handy dandy e brake coversion that goes on your driveshaft and is better plus you can do away with all those lil brackets and cables that r easy to damage in the big mud
