over complicated rear brake system
I am still ~fairly new~ here and at owning a toyota in general so sorry if this is already covered daily under different terms than I'm used to, but is it possible to eliminate the crazy over thought out/complicated brake system they put on these trucks and have a simple brake line that Y's off and hits each rear brake/wheel assembly? I ask because I see the 'junction/contraption' just behind the fuel tank has a few metal lines that look to be in pretty scary condition and I can only imagine what some of these components will cost to replace if they get screwed up trying to remove the old metal lines for replacement. Would lack of or too much line pressure be a problem without all the other crap they installed from the factory?
I guess it has something to do with loads or hauling and helps compensate in braking setup, but I've driven/hauled with (even over hauled with) other small pickups without any issues and they didn't need all this crap added to them to allow 'safe' driving.
If there is a link, I will gladly read it but I don't know what the technical name is for this over complicated rear braking system to search
