Yes, they offer them for the 4cyl rear and one for the front. But no rear v6 aussie... Im glad I stopped waiting.

 

Hmm... so go with a Lockrite, or swap "down" to a 4-cylinder (2 pinion) diff housing. Damn.

Took it for another drive tonight. To be honest, I couldn't tell it was there, no matter what I did. I'm only running 80W90 oil and I'm thinking I might not even go with the Redline Shockproof oil after all, might return the stuff I have and use cheap oil instead.

Even in the rain, I can hammer the gas on a tight uphill corner and the tires don't break loose and fishtail. The heavy rear of the 4Runner with its low power 22RE and siped AT tires prevent the rear end from kicking out. Contrary to everything I've heard, I consider this to be safer/ easier to drive on wet roads than open diffs.

 

so have you had it offroad yet?? snow/slick mud

 

Yeah, in dirt mostly. Locked 2wd was just a little less effective than 4x4 was unlocked. Locked and 4x4 was pretty unstoppable. Even with AT tires. My goal is to build a sleeper of a rig.

 

It seems to work best with thicker oil, once the oil heats up, its not quite as well mannered, but still good. It tends to jerk a little around some corners once the gear oil is warmer I think. I will try Redline Shockproof in a couple weeks.
