Lug nut style for 1st and 2nd gen oem wheels

I’m having some issues with my lug nuts eating into the wheel and I’m almost certain I don’t have the right style, I think I need something with a shank on it. Does anyone know which are the correct style for these wheels?

Switch out all studs too.
You could measure.
Someone with the correct ones verifies?

Torqued correctly? Weird, they look correct. Where are they eating into?

there's no way to determine whether the lugs in the OP's pictures are the correct ones, based on just those two photos.

if they eat into the wheel, it is at the seat, which is flat in these alloys, not tapered. standard lugnuts are tapered, and would thus eat the alloy seats.

your vision balls must be pretty good to see into the inset of the wheels

Maybe ev13wt thought Wallytoo was the Original Poster?

Just a thought....

The ones on the pic are obviously not tapered. So... did anyone measure the OEM ones?

.725" diameter
.055" length (depth into rim)

Overall 1.85" for the long ones. Short ones are 1.5" overall

13/16 AKA 21mm HEX

There is also on that is 0.85" wide, 7/8" HEX not sure what truck those are for though.

I have some Toyota lug nuts from later models which have the correct shank but do not use the plastic cap. They instead use an all metal integral cap. I don't think I have 24 but I could get you some if needed.

you are possibly confused about which member posted pictures. the OP didn't post any pictures showing detail of the lugnuts, just the style of wheels for which he wanted lugnuts.

I would say: I agree with wallytoo _)

So OP posted his lug nuts like that, on rim pic, but expects help, eh?

Ok. I was confused - and still am.

you sir are correct. I have tapered lugs which is starting to mess up the seating surface. The mugs are correct, I just replaced all the studs when I put chromos in.

i gave you a picture of an oem Toyota wheel and asked which lug nuts from the factory should go with them, seems like a pretty easy question to me.

The Original Poster wanted to know which wheel nuts were the correct for the type of OEM wheel he has.

All we needed is to see the wheel he is using and since it is an OEM wheel, we can identify the correct wheel nuts without seeing the wheel off the truck or seeing which wheel nuts are on the truck now.

Now if the Original Poster had aftermarket wheels, we would probably need to see more pictures.
