What lug nuts: 3rd Gen wheels on 2nd gen
Do you guys think I can find lug nuts locally for some 3rd gen alloys to install on my 92? Any particular name for the style of lug I need?

Pretty sure the stock nuts on a 2nd gen will also work for the 3rd gen alloys.
You know the centercaps for the 3rd gen wheels won't fit on the front of a 2nd gen...

So, I did buy late model lugs from TAP off ebay, but, what is the difference between 2nd alloy lugs and 3rd gen alloy lugs? They are both taper shank style with flats.
BTW: Neither NAPA or Schucks had the correct lugs, the shanks were too long. NAPA could get factory style lugs, but they would be $4.25 a piece, that is when I gave up for the weekend and bought them off ebay.

I ordered used factory lugs from a wrecker (TAP), they have a good rep, so hopefully they are in good shape. Thanks for the heads up though, failing lugs would be no fun!

Ebay
I realize you can get things cheap on Ebay and even good things but I am not sure that most peeps realize that if they can sell something that cheap and be making money at the same time then it had to be cheap as dirt which generally means it is poorly manufactured or the materials are just really poor/cheap to begin with , I am not Flaming Ebay , I buy certain things from them often but just don't want to see someone buy something then have a problem or have to do it again soon because it was cheap , I would rather pay a few more dollars and never do it again than save a few bucks and do it again next year or so .
Remember Cheap Parts look just like the good ones , they just fail alot sooner
