OME Coil Install Quick Version.
This is a plan and simple write up. Since I could only find one write up that went on and on listed here thought i'd write something myself. First off I've always worked on Germany cars. My DD is a Audi TT (http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2285155) So I started this job not knowing anything LOL. Well 5 hours later and being very sore its done. Next up is installing my Ball Joint Spacers.
Before
After (the driveway is on a slope this does it no justice. Its crazy raked up in the rear now on level ground)
1. Remove Tires. Place frame on stands. Use two jacks on eash side of axle.
2. Remove Shocks pretty easy with a breaker bar.
4. Unbolt Sway bar at axle (this is easier then unbolting at frame)
3. Jack up axle to compress spring. Place spring compressor on. (again much easier if you jack up the axle a ton. Less compressing to do by you)
4. Drop at axle. Pull springs out.
5. Unbolt Panhard bar; makes it easier to push down drivers side axle (22M socket i believe, I used my 02 Sensor socket)
6. Compress the crap out of the new springs (Very hard with out a Air Gun) (note to self will be buying a air gun lol)
7. Have someone press down on the axle to get new springs in. (make sure u have the jacks not to far down to prevent pulling the brakes lines off)
8. Jack up axle to compress springs (makes it tons easier to get the spring compressors off)
9. Lower axle to install shocks. Sway Bar.
10. Geting the Panhard bar back in was a pain. I took both sides off. If you kinda jack the drivers side up and jack the passenger as high as it will go. This will make it much easier to get the bolt back in.
11. Check everything again then again.
12. Your done!
