Oil pressure question

just gat a question for the people that own the 2 gen 4runners. i don't know if i am the only one that might have this problem so i don't know if it is major or minor. When i first start the truck when is cold the oil pressure is where it is sopposed to be. then after driving it around the oil pressure drops. and to me feels like it looses power. when cold it looks like this (L| | .| |H) its about where the dot is then after driving it looks like (L|. | | |H) its aqbout there, but still rises when driving. if anyone can help please let me know. i hope u can under stand when you are reading this lol.

It's normal for the pressure to go up and down with the rpm's (after warmup). It's also normal for it to sit higher when you first start the engine, as the oil is thicker when it's cool.

You might be low on oil also the oil might be thinning out as the motor heats up.

Mine does the same thing and the engine was rebuilt with 7k miles. It's Toyota's crappy gauges.

I think we all experience the same thing you do. Check your oil level. Also, depending on the oil filter you run, that could effect your oil pressure also. Tim
