the hose coming from the top of the valve cover goes to the nipple on the intake...when it is hooked up it starts fine when it is cold,when it get warm it wont start...i got the hose running to the bottom of the truck so oil wont get on my motor.............

um, yeah, definately not carbed

but anywho, are you POSITIVE that's where the oil is coming from? could it maybe be a fubared o-ring on the oil cap?

Well, who rebuilt this? Are you sure all the Vac lines are hooked up properly? Maybe you should take it back to the person who rebuilt this...

When you say it doesn't start, what do you mean? Does it crank over? Does it try to crank over? If not can you hear the starter run? If so does it try to engage? If it does not spin up, do the lights dim when you try to start it?

The more info the better off we all are...

yes it cranks over, it trys to fire but it seems like it is floded!!!!when it gets warm unless i bumt start, it cant figure it out!!!

blow by. take the hose off of the IM and plug the port on the IM. hold the hose up towards your hand and see if you get smoke and a bunch of oil spay on your hand. if so 1 the rings have not seated 2 your rings are . and it is your exhaust going by your rings during compression/combustion. do a leakdown test. and see where your leak is on Tdc of each cyl.

yes when i hold the hose strait up from the valve cover it does blow out smoke , when i give it gas it blows out oil and smoke < a bunch > here is a bumb ? what is a leak down test ???

Ha all i talked to engine rebilder, an i decided to pull the motor out and take him the long block!!! so i now it is done right...got a ? is it esier to pull the whole moter with the intake on or the intake off......im thinking with the intake on!!please coment!
