o/d light blinking cleared?

Previously searching the forums for the o/d light blinking i found several threads about what it could and couldnt be as far as codes. I let my 91 3vze auto 4x4 warm up for almost 5 minutes this morning before heading off to work. I pull out of my street and the truck won't hardly rev over 12-1300 rpms. So sluggish it would hardly accelerate. Acted like it might have been in 3rd gear or 4th gear. I shut my truck off whenever i finally get to where i can pull over and the light clears??? Does the computer reset itself after every time the key is turned off...? Puzzled here. After that it drove fine. Sooo hopefully i can get home this evening. Tim

Solenoid #2 is bad, I forgot the code for it but it definitly the solenoid #2, that should be located inside the transmission, if you plan to open the pan it should be in view when you remove the pan and get the service manuel so you will know which solenoid is #2 is and replace it, those solenoid is only available in toyota counter, and they cost around $180 but I think they come by set, solenoid #1/#2/lock?..

Thanks Guardian_Saint. I appreciate it. Like i said it cleared itself and has been running fine. Is there a possibility that it could have lost ground or shorted for a few seconds? Its got me for sure. Normally things like that are recurring, but this...

EDIT: Failed to mention the transmission had been completely overhauled at 204k miles, and currently im on 230kmiles. Seems a bit early for solenoids to be going out. Does anyone know transmissoin solenoid life expectancies???haha sorry but just wanted to know. Tim

Update: Driving it to work this morning and acted up again. The accelerator seems to messed up. Almost convinced that it could the throttle positioning sensor. I'll try and find an ohmmeter to test it. Tim
