O.b.a. question

I just hooked up my stock a/c compressor as a o.b. air system jumpered the low pressure switch and had everything right . started the truck and no air so I checked the ac compressor to see if the clutch was engageing with the switch and yes it was . so I now have just the hoses coming out of the compressor and just a little suck on the low side and almost no air out the high side . I think my compressor is shot ( I never had the system charged since I owned it so it could have been bad already. any ideas ? can I rebuild it or just get a remaned one. Anyone have a good ac compressor they dont need?
