Nuts and Bolts..common sizes

What are the most commonly used bolt and nut sizes used for your average part removal on a 22re?

I was thinking it would be a nice thing to have a kinda "Toyota Tool grab bag" for on the go kinda stuff..quick repairs, junkyard runs, etc. This way I dont have to lug around my entire tool kit.

10mm, 12mm, 14mm, 17mm, and 19mm will get most of the engine apart aside from removing the balancer bolt maybe. Maybe a 8mm too.

It can also be handy to have doubles of the most common sized wrenches, to break bolts and nuts free, like on the drive shaft flanges for example.

Note those are wrench sizes; an 8mm (JIS) bolt takes a 12mm wrench. But I'm pretty sure that's what you were asking.

X2 on scope. I believe M6, M8, and M10 are pretty dang common on our trucks in various lengths. I keep a big coffee can full of oem bolts just in case. when I was working with my last landcruiser I came across a company called overland metric they sell complete kits of new metric hardware in various finishes, they are catered to fj40/60 guys but most of them are useful for us as well.

While we're chatting about this, keep in mind that the bolts on our Toyota's are almost all JIS Flange bolts. So an M8 ISO bolt takes a 13mm wrench, but a JIS flange bolt takes a 12mm. Rather than keep a coffee can full of bolts like keycw does, I try to not lose mine. But when I do, my local Ace Hardware (believe it or don't) has tiny drawers of metric bolts, that include JIS bolts. Murderously expensive for what they are (okay, keycw has a point), but onesy-twosy they're not too bad.

If you want a whole coffee can full of bolts, BoltDepot https://www.boltdepot.com/Metric_JIS...8.8_steel.aspx , Belmetric https://www.belmetric.com/jis-small-...-109-c-2_1047/ and Fastenal https://www.fastenal.com/product/fas...FamilyId=25758 (which may have a brick-and-mortar store near you) claim to have them.
