nooob here with a bit of a wiring question!!

hey guys, im sure as you all can tell im new so please dont rip me appart. ive got a 87 P/U the battery tray rotted, and the battery touched the wheelwell and started a fire, melted the fuse block under the hood and the headlight harness, what else could have been fried? another question, will i be able to use a fuse block from an EFI even though my trucks carbed? thanks for the help guys

You can use a fuse box from an EFI truck, there the same. The EFI fuse box just has a few more fuses than a carbed fuse box. Just replace the melted wires, and do it properly by soldering and shrink wraping the wires, check all of the fuses, and if you get lucky when your done your truck will start on the first try.

There is always that chance, but you might just get lucky and everything will be fine once you repair the damage.
