Not sure why he got banned, but he's still alive and in business. Have dealt with him in the past, and never had a problem.

no complaints either.

don't rush the swap, especially if it's on the road at all, others' safety should be a concern as well as your own.
i have a 94, did the allpro 4"kit and love it.
as far as a front axle swap in a weekend, not advised if it's not your first go at it....not saying it can't be done, just saying some people take all day prepping the housing and diff work and another just cutting and prepping the frame. some can do all that considerably faster. but why rush? crawl carefully through the build, do it right, and crawl on the trail(or grab groceries and pavement pound) with less worries.

First, I'm sure you realize that the kits are cheaper that going piece meal.

Since you have the axle, you can start off getting it ready. Otherwise, it doesn't really matter what you start to accumulate, you'll need it all before you can do the rest.

I'd go with a kit(start saving).... well i did actually lol got the trailgear 3" HD SAS swap kit and so far its been holding up on road off road meh dont have a front drive shaft yet so cant say lol and as others have said take your time when doing the swap it took me forever to prep the axle alone since it was my first time ever reassembling a SA. If my dad didnt help me with the swap it would of taken me months, but thanks to him only took us a weekend and a bit to get it done.

The shackles add around an inch so my 3 inch kit turned out to be 4 inches which i knew, but didnt think would be that high well it was so my truck looks like it wants to fly away or something at the moment lol. So yes a 4 inch kit would actually be 5 inches once you add the shackle length to the equation.

The trailgear kit was awesome came with everything i needed but a extended front driveshaft lol....however it didnt come with any instructions on how to do it, but they do have instructions on their site vague that it is at least it gives you a general idea of how to do it. I can't really say anything about the quality since ive just finished the swap and been driving the truck for around 2 weeks.
