NOOB 89 4runner suspension?
hello
i'm new to the board and have question about suspensions for a 89 4runner. i'm looking to lift my 4runner at least 3" and just wanted to know what would be the best kind. i've read some of the post on this board about all the different types and brands..i've settled on the OME but not really sure where i can get them. also my 4runner has a lil sag in the back end. i will post pics when i get home. thanks

just get 1.5 bj spacers, crank the tbars a half inch, an add a leaf/hangers or even some newer leafs since yours are most likely sagging, and with the right backspacing on the wheel, you should be able to fit.
i fit my 33x10.5's on 8" rims with 4" bs'ing, and all i had to do was beat in the back of the front fenders(not noticeable at all), and when i flex, the rear tires tuck into the rear fenders just fine(this may be your only problem since your tires are wider, hwich is why a couple inches may be good to lift it.

If you check our page www.sdori.com we have a list of vendors you can check out. One of them is in Texas which will make shipping cheap and bundles our spacers with other stuff to make a kit.
People fit 33X12.5"s with the spacers and a 2" body lift. As mentioned, the 33X10.5's fit stock. The suspension lift (spacers) will help with flex which is good. The body lift will help with clearance which is also good if you want the wider tires.
I would stay away from the bracket style lifts.
