the noise is coming from the passenger side of my motor. its a med to high pitch whine. it lopes with the idle and increaces when the engine speed does. its mostly noticable at idle though because its not that loud( but loud enough to worry about). the wierd thing to me is it comes and goes. just to help pin point the area better, it sounds like it is coming from my EGR valve or mabey a little back from there. its in between my intake and ex. manifold.

 

Did you figure it out I have the exact same issue.
