Hi guys, i just bought a 86 toyota p/u, ran good for a week got home from work go back out to the truck to leave and it wont start. I discovered its not getting spark so i replaced coil,cap,rotor,wires and plugs. still no spark, the truck turns over no problem and is getting fuel. any advice would be helpful. thank you

 

I had the same problem on my 86 4Runner. There is an ignition fuse in a fuse box behind the driver side kick panel, pull the fuse out and check it, on my 4Runner it was corroded and lost contact. I cleaned the contacts in the fuse box as best as i could with a small screw driver and replaced the fuse. Its been working just fine ever sense.

 

thanks for the reply, i checked that fuse it looked good but i went ahead and replaced it anyways, didnt work though.
