No fuel to start......

I have a1986 22r that will run if we pour gas in the intake but will not start on its own. Just replaced the fuel pump. Could t be the EFI? we have looked for a fuel pump relay but cannot find one. Any suggestions?

Please put us in front of your engine compartment. (see signature)
What do you see, hear, feel, smell when trying to start?
Did you check that you were getting power to fuel pump before replacing it?
Why did you replace a part you were not sure was bad and as proven did no fix your problem?
Do you have a multi-meter?
How do you know that you are getting fuel pressure?
Are you looking for a fuel pump relay to buy, or looking for it's location?

If you have a 22R you don't have EFI. 22R is a carbureted engine, EFI is Electronic Fuel Injection, so... what do you have? 22RE?
