Yeah, I can get the pedal firm then hold it and it goes to the floor. Which is why I really think its he master.

Definitely sounds like the MC if it won't hold pressure as you're describing.

I drove the truck to work today, gonna stop at a local mechanic that knows Toyotas on the way home. When you hit the pedal the first time, goes to the floor with very little stopping power. Pump it once or twice and it has decent pressure and it holds it enough to stop. I'm still trying to figure it out haha.

Right. What you just described sounds like a bubble in the system. If you build pressure and it won't sustain it, then it's the MC (or a leak).

Could be a bubble but I have no idea what else to do to bleed the system more.

make sure you didn't put the calipers on the wrong side. the bleeder port needs to be on the top side of the caliper. if not you'll never bleed it out.

My drums were out of adjustment. How they got that way I don't know because I didn't take them off but I adjusted them and my brakes are back!

Your Emergency brake keeps the rear brakes adjusted up.

They do have to be adjusted up to begin.

It does work?

You do use it??

well when you get to much pedal travel again time to adjust the rear brakes again.

Myself I can`t stand not having a emergency brake not working

I have fixing them down to a science .

Look at a transfer case brake. They run about $230 an it will work with the factory ebrake handle.

Most likely you will need the bell cranks and the bell crank brackets .

I have never had bell cranks rust off just seize in the brackets .

It should be easy to get the bell cranks from some one down south.

I can get a bell crank kit off the internet for like $40 so that's what I'm doing. I have 2 new ebrake cables lying around too so I should be good in a little here
