I like the way that looks but I'd be afraid to wheel it. One scratch on that paint would make me whine like a Catholic school girl with a busted hip, or something like that.

No really that thing is freaking B-E-A-utiful.

The shackle angles don't look good. Maybe they are brand new springs in that pic? A couple of trail rides and they would relax and fix that shackle angle. Looks like a mall cruiser with that rear bumper and that shiny paint but it is a sweet ride.

Paint is nice, the rest of it ... meh ...

Looks like when the rear compresses much at all the tire will get in the fender, the rear bumper looks like an afterthought.

That paint would be badass over high clearance fiberglass fenders and bedsides ...

I keep coming back to look at that. I want to bob soo bad. Cant do it, need too, can't.

I would need to get a custom canvas top though. I wouldn't like not having a top, and the few bobbed 1st gen tops I've seen looked lame.

Just wondering, why would you cut a chunk out of the back of a 4runner? They aren't that long to begin with and I'd think it'd do more to limit your carrying capacity than it would do to improve your departure angles. I could see doing it to a long bed truck or something like that.

As does the exhaust. And those tires have to rub. The paint looks killer though.

Can't say I like it much. I like the body- that's super clean, the paint is all right, but the wheels are too showy (garish almost), and I plain just don't like wide tires- they remind me off all the domestic "show" trucks around here that are completely form over function. Also, his shackle angles are a little steep- but that's just nitpicking now.

I'll bet that truck doesn't have lockers.

On my 2nd gen I dragged the rear bumper a lot. Got hung up on it and needed a pull to get out last week. The departure angles may be a little better than the truck, but they're still not great.

If you don't understand you aren't taking off steep enough . Its not about being long, its about the over hang from the point the shackle attaches to the frame to the edge of the rear end. Departure angles are significantly increased be eliminating that. Probably will gain 20* + in departure angle by bobbing the runner.
