Nice mod?? (Jeeper comment)

Ran to the corner store a few minutes ago and had a guy in a very well built 09 Rube let me know that doing the convertable mod on my 4runner was a nice mod. I asked what he meant and he pointed out the fact that there was no top on my 89 4runner. I told him that they came that way up until 1989 and he let me know that he knew for a fact that they did not. The only thing that came with removable tops from the factory were Jeeps.

I laughed and said "yeah you got me there, it took a while but was well worth the effort to cut and fab."

I failed to mention all the Scouts, Broncos and Blazers that came with removable tops in the past.......

Jeep, it's a closed state of mind.

*since this relates dirrectly to my 89 4runner can we leave it here instead of moving it to "off topic?*

Same thing happened to me at school a while back the 1st day I took the 4Runner topless....kid comes up and said, "did you put those seats in the back and cut it all up? it looks factory". I replied...that's 'cause it is...he seemed so baffled and amazed

Silly non-Toyota people...

You know what I would have said? "Well, atleast my rig doesn't come stock with a motor out of a minivan like your cute V-6 does. Now go practice getting yourself hicentered on those speed bumps, I'll be there in a minute."
