next purchase 95 4 runner Good truck? U tell me.
Been awhile since i've been here. I recently test drove a 95 4 runner with a 6 cylinder. I would like to here some feedback on this vehicle. It is a 4x4 one owner vehicle. Fairly clean with timing belts and regular maintenance done properly. I will be using this truck as a daily driver. I was wondering about what kind of gas mileage they get and if anyone had any major troubles out of them. Again it is a 1995 4 runner 4x4 with a 6 cylinder and an automatic transmission. The truck has 216,000 miles on it. Everything does work on it and it is a limited addition. Older gentleman owned it and traded it in on a pickup. Clean value on this truck is around $5200. I think I can get it for around $3500. He is asking $3995 for it. Good buy or not. Be honest.

if ur looking for gas mileage this is not the truck for u, friend has a 91 with the same motor and gets 12-15mpg with it. not fast at all the motor is way underpowered. the truck is a good reliable truck that will last forever, that has alot of miles on it tho.

Honestly?
Well; gas mileage is around 15 m.p.g. in mixed driving, parts are expensive, some maintenance items are ridiculously hard to get to (PCV valve, valve cover on passenger side, water pump etc.), the 3.0 V-6 3vze engine is a little on the under powered side for towing on hills & has had a lot of issues with head gasket failure but at 216K miles it's probably been solved on the one you're looking at.
All things considered I think if the one you're looking at has been well taken care of & you can get it for under $4,000 (I'd shoot for $3,500 personally) you'll probably love it once you've had it for a while. I love mine.
