My rear window used to go up and down nicely. Now it only goes up and it seems like it is having a hard time. I sprayed the window tracks and gears with WD-40. I ran a jumper wire from the battery to roll the window up and down a few times, but it still wont go down when I press the consol window switch. When its already up and I hit the up button you can hear a relay in the back click which means that relay is good. When the window is up and I hit the down button I hear nothing and the window goes nowhere. Could it be a bad down relay? Where are the relays located? Anyone else have this problem?

relays are located behind the rear cargo compartment panel, a bit involved to get that panel off. be careful and you can get all the plastic clips out intact. check out www.4crawler.com and look for the section on rear window relay repair or similar.

check out in this section as well, someone posted up a mini how to on replacing the relays and even had part #'s listed.

Mine went up and down for a while and got slower and slower then it would only go down.
I swapped in a new motor and it still only went down, but it clicked when I pressed the up switch... so I figured the relay was fine. I had EVERY thing checked out and it ended up being the relay.
