newb with an interior question...
I will be trying this question on a few sites, to see what kinda answers I get.
I will finally be getting my first Toyota ever!!!! I am pretty geeked up about that, it is a 4runner, 1988, fuel injected, with the removable rear top.
I am deff going to be using this for hunting. one of the things I was thinking of doing was putting a wood or some type flat platform in the back. So here goes;
do the seats all fold down flat, or are they removable? if they do fold down flat, is it flat enough to put in a 'floor' so to speak? I was thinking lacquering some ply wood boards, and cutting into 4 pieces. Will this be possible? what are the dimensions of the back area, to cut yourself a flat surface for back there?
thanks in advance. Rangerruck

sort of... the bottom folds forwards against the front seats and the back folds down somewhat flat
but yes... they can be removed.
There actually was an option from toyota referred to as the rear seat delete, which also included a nice flat metal pan with short forward bulkhead that could be installed in place of the seats. And that would be the perfect thing for your purpose, if you want the seats permanently gone.

oh, and I don't know the dimensions, but it should be easy enough to install planking, or even 3/4 T&G starting at the middle and working your way out, cutting out for any obtacles like the roll bar.
