New Toyota Owner Wants Suggestions, Gears? True Trac?
Hey guys...and girls,
I am new here and new to the toyota owner world.
I recently bought a 91 pickup and want to do a few things to it. It has 3" body/3" suspension lift and 33" tires under it.
I have attached a few pics of it so you can get an idea of what it looks like.
It has stock gears and I want to put 4.88 in it. it is a woof woof! I have done lots of looking and have decided to get thirds from East Coast Gears.
I dont want to wheel this truck except for going back in the wood to pull out a big buck or have a little fun in the snow.
I have been looking at putting a TRUE TRAC in the rear for a little extra traction if I need it.
It is going to be my DD so keep that into consideration.
What do you think? Any suggestions?

Welcome to yota tech...
First off id say, definitely take care of the cancer on her...always like seeing someone take care of those eye sores...
As to any modification, there are upsides and downsides to each, it all depends on what your looking for and what you will be willing to deal with...start off with a little searching, alot of reading, some contemplating, more reading and you will be wayy ahead of where you started...
Good luck with the yota, be sure to stick around...
Oh, and if you go to a image hoster like photobucket and put the image (IMG) code in your post, the picture will automatically show up within the post and be larger, so you dont have to slick on thumbnails...

WELCOME TO YOTA TECH! Nice truck indeed. Since you just bought the truck i would recommend a full tune-up plus a K&N air filter... IF you don't care for rust then ok but i would get started on the rust and paint the frame.... Give er a wash... yotas like a good wash... get a bull or brush guard.... roll bar? Bed liner?

Yeah I know about the rust. We are starting Chemotherapy and radiation in a few weeks.
I got 2 rust free doors and a new tailgate for her.
We are also going to put a spray in bed liner and also spray the sides of the truck up to the body line. I think I will also spray the bumpers and the nerf bars. Should look good with all of that in black huh?
