hey guys i need help figuring out whats wrong with my 92 toy pickup. i installed a new alpine radio and wired up everything. now the fuse kept burning out for my tail lights and my gauges. so i unpluged the harness on the radio and everything started working again. im assuming i wired a cable the wrong way. can anyone help with which cable goes where i connected the ground the constant power and found the switch by checking wich cable gave power when i turned the key. its a simple install just 4 speakers no amps or anything of that sort.

also now that da radio is unplugged and the lights work fine again now when i press the button on my alarm remote the tail lights dont flash anymore.does anyone know why?

 

looks like it's time to double check the wiring, assuming you just spliced right into the factory harness

hey thanks alot for the help. what happened was that i grounded the radio to a power source. it originally showed as ground but when i turned the lights on the wire had power. so i grounded the wire to the frame now all is working great. thanks for the help.
