New here and question (2gen Runner)

Hello,

I just got a 93 Dark Green 2dr 4Runner V6 5spd (270km) and I am going to make it into a daily driver trail ready truck. I have a list of all the things I want to do but one part has me stupped. I am looking for rock sliders for it but I can not find any for the 2dr. I do not know if the wheel base is shorter but I belive it is.

Tonight I was at a friends shop and he has a 92 P/U xcab and his is a 12in longer wheel base. Anyone have any idea if rock sliders off a 4dr 4Runner will fit???

Thanks guys

Awesome site BTW been a huge help so far.

From what I have observed, it seems that they both share the same wheelbase. On any spec site I tried to go on I got the same wheelbase, therefore leading me to believe that only the body is different. If that's true, then the 4-door sliders should fit. But there's always that chance...

Your best bet (if you don't get an answer here) would be to e-mail a couple of welders who make sliders for the 2nd gens and see if they know more.

or email the vendors and ask them if the part fits...

I would have done that first. If they want your dollar, make them earn it.

All 4Runners and regular cab trucks from 84-95 have the same 103.3" wheelbase.

2dr 2nd gen rock sliders

Not sure you have your rock sliders yet, since this postong is over a year old. The 2dr & 4rd are the same in length & wheel base. Go to allprooffroad.com. I just purchased rock sliders from them. They are around $269, but are all welded up, ready to paint and weld on.
