Thanks for the info. I plugged the wires back in and the tranny problems stopped.

I put the high flow cat on tonight and she purrs like new and seams to have more low end now. if anybody is interested in the old hollowed out cat , let me know!! I'll keep it around for a while. the flanges and body are in good shape.

So far I have done the fuel filter, ISR and air box mods, High flow Thunderbolt cat and Super turbo muffler, Rear diff fluid, tranny fluid, new rear springs, Throttle body cleaning, Sea foam treatment and EGR cleaning. am I missing any simple to moderate mods or improvements?

Does anybody know how to make the spedo stop bouncing????? it's driving me nuts!

Thanks for the help. This place rocks!

Did the EGR cleaning get rid of your code 71? I have that same code. I can reset the computer and it'll take anywhere from a day to a month to come back on but it comes back. My EGR valve appears to be working, just not well.

no, I warmed up the motor and used an ohms meter to check the resistance on the temp sending unit on the egr and it was not showing any continuity so I put a resistor in it's place and the light went away. I also blocked off the egr at the intake after cutting the tube off flush with mounting plate and used a flat disc and the egr gasket to seal off the hole in the intake. it has been working fine since with no codes. if you search "EGR FAKE" or "EGR REMOVAL" you can find detais on resistors and the principal of faking out the ecu.
