new engine no start?!

i just put in a new to me 22re, now it was outta an 89 just like my 4runner, and there was a ลลลล load of different stuff. there is spark and gas, it cranks, and almost starts but wont start, could this be a vacuum related issue?

Thanks

Seems a new engine install could be a lot of things...

... maybe check the timing in relation to the distributor. When I rebuilt my 3.0 I had fuel, spark, everything seemed to be fine but just wouldn't fire up. Turned out my distributor was off 180 degrees.

Pretty easy thing to check and even easier to fix... thought for food... or something like that.

i would double check all the MAF connections, thats how my sounds when I tried to start it with out it hooked up...

also double check all the vacume lines...

if it was running when he pulled it, look at everything that has been touched... espically wiring..
