Hello. This is my first post. Please bear with me. I have an '87 4runner 22re automatic. It was recently stolen and recovered. I haven't been able to start it. I can hear it crank but it doesn't start. I've checked all fuses and I'm pretty sure the fuel is flowing. I found this in the back seat and I don't know where or even if this is from the 4runner. I also found some loose wires by the intake manifold coming off the wiring harness near the injectors. Can anyone tell me what these are for? Do I need this? What's missing?
the upper right part looks similar to the CSI connector. it’s possible the wires in the second picture are for that connector, which could explain the difficulty in starting the truck now (the CSI doesn’t work). the other part does not belong to your ‘87.
Pls show us pics of senders below the thermostat housing. There are 2 there. One connector is brown, the other green. Could also be connectors for Vacuum Switching valves. There are 2 on to of valve cover.
Use the continuity test mode of your multimeter. One meter lead clipped to the unknown wire, the other lead you will probe the ECU side of the engine harness.
Just a guess but that's the wires to the back of the iacv/aux-air. Based on the length it's not going to reach much else.
