Need Help Code 12 and Code 14

So my 93 yota with a 22re ran perfect all weekend long. loaded up camp monday morning and started heading down the mountain and my truck died. I tried to start it and it just cranks but won't start. I got out checked everything over and noticed the ground that bolts to intake manifold had came off. Well hooked it back up but it still wouldnt start. Jumpered e1 and te1 and had a code 14. Got it towed back home and Looked it over closer and still cant get it to start. Now i am getting a code 12 and code 14. Any ideas what it could be before i start throwing money into parts i dont need to change?

Nah, you should start throwing parts at it first. Then you could look at the manual to see what those codes mean. http://personal.utulsa.edu/~nathan-b...26diagnosi.pdf

Codes 12 and 14 both related to a (possibly) missing signal from the distributor. If you banged your truck around hard enough to knock off a ground (!!), who knows what you did to the distributor. Check for obvious damage (loose connector, cracks), then run the diagnostics.

Oh, if you want to throw parts at it, leave the distributor for last. But don't worry too much; you could easily have a broken harness wire. That would show up pretty quickly with the diagnostics, but replacing parts would never reveal it.

I looked at what the codes mean this isnt my first rodeo! All the connectors have good connections, cap and rotor are good, no broken wires that i can see. I know the code 14 has to do with the signal from ICM to ecu. Checked all the fuses and there good.
