Need help with 93 22RE fuel problem

I've got a 93 4X4 Pickup with roughly 197,000 on it. It started running really week. Didn't want to pull boat, didn't accelerate when gas, just spit, sputtered and slowly picked up speed.

Put in new fuel filter, new plugs, new plug wires, nothing helped...

Got timing checked and it was off slightly. Fixed this and it improved slightly, but not much.

It continually got worse, but would always start right up.

Now I cannot get it to start. It turns over, but won't fire at all.

If I let it sit for about a week between tries, it will start and run really ragged for about 4-5 seconds and then die.

I read this post, and thought it might be similar, https://www.yotatech.com/forums/f116...t-22re-136472/,

but would like you guys opinion. If it does sound like this might be it, can someone give me really basic instructions on how to find the relay that he had trouble with.

Thanks for your help.

Try jumping the fuel pump at the test conector by the AFM and see if you can hear the fuel pump running when you turn the key on. it sounds like your fuel pump might be bad. Another thing you can do is crack the fuel fitting at the cold start solenoid and see if you have fuel presure there.

Tried jumping FP to B+, but didn't hear the fuel pump...

Would that be the problem? Fuel pump crapped out?

Would this cause it to run really weak for a couple months before it finally died?

93 Toyota pickup won't start

Having a similar issue but different. Key on, no dash lights, heater motor or fuel pump. Tried jumping do to b+, still no fuel pump. Jumped te1 to see if the ECM would throw codes, nothing. Have power at the ECM and good ground. Checked power to coil, have power. Checked spark at plugs, weak spark but at least it's a spark. Ran power from the battery to fuel pump, pump runs still wont start!!! Swaped ECM from my buddy's running 93, still nothing, put my ECM in his truck, runs fine!!! Anything else I haven't checked? Bad harness? Ran fine 2 days ago....

If you got "nothing" when you jumped te1 to gnd, and you got no fuel pump jumping FP to B+, I'm going to guess you have no power to B+, and therefore no power to the ECM. Easy to check; put a voltmeter on B+ to ground.

If you don't have 12v at B+ w/Key on, check the ign and efi fuses, and then the EFI relay. http://www.ncttora.com/fsm/1990-1995...emci/eng3r.pdf

So, pos battery to b+ will make the truck run, but unplugging makes the truck die.......
