need advice on the trail rig

Small concern right now is tire size so I can decide gearing.

Do any of you run a 34 inch tire? More to the point do any of you run the 34/10.50/15 Super Swamper LTB?

http://www.intercotire.com/tires.php?id=7&g=1

I'd like to run that tire on the 89 4runner with the 1.5" bj's up front and ZUKs 100lb coils in the rear. I'm doing 5.29 gears and locking the front and rear and if these tires will work worth a darn on rocks then I don't have to buy new wheels and can use that money for other things.

This is going to be a trail rig with limited driving on the street during the summer but I need to be able to drive to and from the trail head. I'm guessing these tires are going to be loud on the street but that's not an issue.

Thank you

ratio and tire size should be good as i have seen others running similar setups...as far as the swampers they are loud as all hell, my buddy has a set...as far as a 34 i have no info.

WOW! Talk about some bad reviews. I guess on a 90% trail rig it wouldn't really matter but I have a limited fear of biased tires on the street headed towards the trail. It's just hard to find a tire larger than 33 inches in a 10.50 width.

As odd as this may sound I think I'd prefer the 10.50 so I can save some money on wheels.

The next tire that I looked at after the SS was the KM2 in 33/10.50/15 from Sams for 170$....... I can't believe it's this hard to pick tires.

You'll probably be OK if you're going trail only. (or minimal street) A bunch of the guys here have various iterations of Interco stuff that they drive to the trailheads without too much complaining. Along your lines I'm thinking about the TSL Q78 for a trail tire. I'm still a ways away from having to actually pull the trigger on that though. We'll see.
