It goes to the PAIR valve, which is under the exhaust manifold. Its part of emissions. No idea about part number.
whoops, I mean under the intake manifold.

I have no faith that the guy at the parts counter will know what it is based on the name. I spent the good part of an hour there today with 3 of them and they couldn't figure it out.. which is sad imo. sooo.. does anyone know the part number? I tried google... no luck.

Nice.. thank you.
And yes it has a small hole in it on the left joint... you can see it in the pic.
So next question.. there is no way I am paying 150 for it. How can I fix that hole?

That piece gets really hot I doubt any type of epoxy would last. If you know a good welder maybe he or she could weld it up. But there are tons of these motors in junk yards across the states, that's how I'd go. There are a couple on this board as well.

Should be able to have it welded up. Not a serious problem to fix. I believe it's stainless steel though so make sure the shop can deal with it. If an existing weld has blown out though, I'd look at the converter and make sure it's not plugged up causing excessive backpressure and exhaust to flow into that manifold.
It's purpose is to draw metered air from the PAIR (Pulse Air-Injection Reaction) reed valve under the intake manifold in order to add oxygen to the exhaust and help the catalytic converter clean up emissions.
