Mysterious spout on bottom of radiator?

So, I'm in the middle of changing the belts on my 1993 22re, and I noticed 2 spouts coming out of the bottom of the radiator. One is beside the lower coolant house and the other is beside the drain plug, should these have lines on them or not?

Those are fittings for transmission cooler lines. Need more info on the particular truck to determine if they're necessary but I'm going to assume that if you don't see the lines dangling anywhere you're just fine. Probably not the original radiator.

If you have a manual transmission, you have no need for them.

Yup and yup. Lots of aftermarket rads will come with them even if you specify you don't have an auto.

Yep, my trucks a 5 speed, this is how it came to me. Should I plug them or just leave them how they are?

I'd cap 'em or run a hose between them so if the interface between the engine and transmission cooler fails you don't lose all your coolant.
