Post My Weekend mods

Well since my winch arrives on Monday (Taking FOREVER) i have time on my hands this weekend and i have decided to Remove my Cruise Control system and move my intake to where the cruise control was.
i have 3 reasons for doing this change,
1 is to raise the intake level till i get a snorkel
2 is to make room in the front for a dual battery in the future
and 3 my cruise control doesn't work properly anyways.

I have a few questions,
When removing the Cruise Control system, is there anything i have to be worried about? just remove the fuse and then the units under the hood right? any lines attached i should be concerned about when removing, like a vacuum hose?

I'll post pics as i go along and what parts i have to buy to move the intake.

hey i'm interested in seeing this done! good luck this should be cool, i've been thinking about ditching my cruise as well, but i'm thinking it's a vacuum issue so i could just fix it......

In terms of vacuum, is there anywhere that i can get a vacuum line diagram? My cruise doesn't even work, and i have a vacuum line thats not hooked up on one end and i can't figure out where it should be going.

I had planned on plugging the end of the vacuum line anyway just in case.
I disconnected the "Speed Control" box under the driver's kicker panel last night. Today i am going to remove the Actuator and Vacuum. I'll post pics once i'm done.
Then i have to measure the Intake box to ensure it will fit, and with minor modification i think it should be no problem.

plumo57: check the FSM stickys for a diagram. All i can tell you is the lines go every which way.

*UPDATE*
I removed the acctuator and Vacuum, Here are some pics:

On monday i am going to go to a local Auto Store and hope they have some intake tube that bends towards the rear rather than the front so i can move the intake. Also monday i get my winch so the intake will probably be put on hold

And all i used as:
1/4" Ratchet
10mm Socket
6" 1/4" Extension

Took me maybe 1 hour to do it, i had to make sure nothing else was connected and everything was plugged or covered.
