My truck makes water!! Is this a good thing?
Weather my truck is warm or cold it will make a puddle of water at the end of the exhaust pipe, Iam not loosing cooling fluid. This has happened ever since I owned the truck, which has been for about 6 months. Anyone have Ideas?
It will also throw white smoke for the first 5 minutes it runs.

Water vapour is a by product of combustion and is normal. Do you have white smoke or water vapour coming out your tail pipe. There is a big difference.
If you were burning coolant you would most likely have other symptoms as well. I wouldn't worry about it.

If you are not loosing coolant it's probably the result of the crappy fuel that goes to the west coast, it makes it even worse for high compression engines due to the ethanol (water) mixture. The white smoke would lead me to believe you are actually burning coolant from a headgasket leak or cracked head, it could just be the result of too much ethanol/water in the fuel you run, I remember it being something stupid like 10-15% in AZ last year which made my 12.4:1 compression mustang put out lots of moisture. The gas is much better on the east coast.

you will know if its coolant, there is a sickly sweet smell that cant be mistaken for anything else. youll know it when you smell it, kind of like leaking gear oil. one of a kind smells.

I have the same problem and I am wondering how much is a 'normal' amount? I first noticed water coming from my exhaust pipe just before in blew the head gasket. (The motor just froze up one morning and I towed it to the dealer). The head gasket was replaced and it was fine for a while but have recently noticed the puddles of water seem to be gradually getting bigger. The 90 4x4 w/3vze also totally lacks power. I haven't tasted it or anything lol, but it seems a little oily. My sense of smell isn't the best so I really couldn't say for sure if it has a smell or not.

I just replaced the plugs, wires, distributor & rotor. The rotor and cap didn't look to great and the spark plugs were redish brown color, but nothing to bad. I made a slight difference, but still has a problem. Seems like it misses and suddenly kicks in but is still struggling. I hear the knock sensors should be replaced when head gaskets are done and don't think the dealer replaced it.
I was checking out the SeaFoam in Auto Zone and was wondering if it worked and now I am going to try it.
Thanks

Sorry.... I didn't quite answer your question, did I? when I first start it up and go back in the house and let it warm up and when I walk back out there, I find a big puddle of water. (never seen nothing like it) except right before the the head gasket blew) engine would crank (because water can't be compressed, I was told and make sense to me) The steem is normal I think. Don't know whats going on when I'm driving. When the gasket was blown there was a little water in the oil besides what I am experiencing now (excessive water comming out the exhaust). Kind of funny though...I was preparing to rebuild it myself. Ha...I'm a girl..and than I got this card in the mail from Toyota..

How big of a puddle? When the truck is warming up, it is normal for the exhaust to drip some water as the water vapor hitting the cold exhaust pipe will make it condense into water on the ground, as the other posts point out, water vapor is a normal byproduct of the internal combustion engine just not in large amounts. I would say depending on the outside temp, anything bigger than like 6-8 inches in diameter is pretty excessive. Nice to hear of some ladies willing to get thier hands greasy.
edit:also how long ago did the headgaskets get done? The lack of power could also be clogged exhaust or bad o2 sensor possibly.
