Sell those wheels to some malll rat and go with the steelies. You may get lucky and come out with a little cash at the end.

If you don't want to buy wheels you may want to rattle can the current wheels black. I doubt you'd have much luck selling them and I think they wouldn't be so ugly painted black. Spray some wheel acid on them to clean them up good, then spray them with self etching metal primer and then spray them satin black. I have done this to two sets of wheels they look great. Eric

Make sure you're turning your key all the way back before you pull it out. There is a button that you will need to push before you can remove the key, however, most of these older yotas can just pull the key out before you're actually at the off position. You may also notice that your radio will stay on, and the door chime yells at you when the key isn't turned all the way back before removing it. Cool runner!

Nice Runner, I've got an 89 as well. I can tell you from experience, if you want better mileage take the top off, that will lighten your load by a couple of hundread pounds. If you want to keep the sun off your neck get a bikini top. I bought one off of ebay a year or so ago and I love it. If you've got some shots of your interior I'd like to see those. Every one I've seen is different, I don't know if Toyota had that many different options on the inside or if everyone does their on mods over the years.

Nice, looks like there are a few differences. I like the vinyl seats. If I had those in mine I wouldn't have had to spend 800 dollars on seat covers. With that mileage I would be considerably better with smaller tires. I took my 33's off and put a set of 31's back on and I'm getting around 19-20 mpg. It doesn't look right though, I think I'm going back to the 33's for in town driving and put the 31's on for road trips. I'll check my links and put one in for a high capacity fuel cell that should increase your range.
