Question Is my A/C pressure switch working

How can I make sure that the pressure switch is working? Because I cant put any more than about 10 oz without pressure reading too high, like 60-70.

If your refering to low side pressure, then the comp is not even turning. If it is it aint no good.Jump the switch and see what happens. All things being good it should be about 250 psi on the red-high side and about 20 psi on the blue-low side.
