My automatic hubs 4x4 arent working

give me aload of ideas.

it wont engage i cant hear it and its not going in.

got any ideas?

swap them out for some manual ones

great idea just want to get them working today tomorrow i know a guy who will have some so ill look into it its only like 20$ swap or maybe even get some free lol

Do it. Auto hubs were the worst idea ever. They unlock for half a turn when ever you change direction AND are unreliable as you've noted.

umm, I dont think he has auto hubs, Maybe ADD?

If its ADD check all of the vacuum lines to make sure they didn't come loose. I haven't heard of it happening, but I suppose the control solenoids could go bad, which are also connected to the vacuum lines.

If you have ADD, my '91 does, the hubs stay locked 24/7. You don't hear them engage/disengage. IIRC, only some of the late '80s trucks and 4runners had auto locking hubs. They are 2 different beasts....
