Here you can see the line going to it:
Just curious but how much water do you use? Like mpg? How often do you fill up? Will it blow up if you run out?

I apologize for the off-topic-ness.

Good luck with that, ask Cadman about passing CA smog. Everything emissions related had to be stock 3.4, even the exhaust crossover pipe. I doubt a CEL will pass smog in CA.

If I were you I'd look at getting a 2002 4runner tranny, a gear driven transfer case and the Marlin adapter for a passinger side drop.

This is a thread that maybe of some interest to you:

https://www.yotatech.com/forums/f2/c...e-wire-164909/

Apparently the drive by wire throttle body did start in 2001 for 4runners, IIRC its 2003 for the Tacomas though.

I want to make sure I get all the right stuff so I want to make a list of what to get. Without a doubt I have to get TB, ECU, and engine harness off a T100 but do I have to get all my smog stuff off that has well. What should I do here, I am looking for cleanest and easiest Mods.

That's a good question, I don't have an anwser for you, but its a good question. One thing you might add to your list is a new TB gasket, while you're at it might get one of the URD "O" shaped gaskets. http://www.urdusa.com/product_info.p...s_id=199000038

sorry you got caught up in this... i'm sure it sucks. i've been thinking abou this swap for years and have kept it on hold due to my a340h.
like MT said though, i would personally go for the 3rd gen/tacoma auto and get the marlin adapter for the gear driven t-case. i'm not so sure the t100 is the way to go only because it still has the same un-gearable chain drive t-case.

my .02, good luck!

Well from all the info I got from thefallman and mt goat T100 ecu works with my current A340h trans due to same speed sensor, so its a direct plug in type setup. so see I wouldn't have to buy a transmission or a adapter. I don't plan on wheeling the hell out of my truck I just need a 4x4 for doing work stuff and when weather bad. You know... so keeping my 2002 3.4 engine and buying a new T100 ecu, engine wire harness, and TB will by far be cheapest and easy route to take.

Question for Mt Goat... You think a T100 4x2 ecu and harness would be fine? I find more of them then 4x4... maybe I can mod it to work since I will hardly ever use 4x4... right now my truck locks 4x4 in by vac..

Can anyone got look at model number on there ECU for a T100 all they want is year and model number on ECU....

Do they still have the same management they had a few years ago. They used to have some very unhappy customers posting on the internet.

I dont know if they have same management all I know is everytime I go there it is high prices, even on car-part.com they are highest priced they were going to be my last rersort, however I may just have to go local for wiring harness as I would like to see before I buy. Last thing I need is some hack cutting up my harness.

I prefer to deal with Rancho Toy Truck they are local and give best deals, I just talked to them and they are going to trade my 2002 TB for the one I need. Kick AZZ it is all coming together still need wire harness though.

Speaking of wire harness does anyone know what I will need to change on the block as far as like fuel injectors or sensors when I switch my 2002 wire harness to a 1995 or 96 harness. Just trying to get a heads up on what else I should score off donor truck.

If not I guess I will find out when pluging in new harness ha

I've never been to Rancho Toy Truck I need to go over there I guess. Are you allowed to go get the part you need or do you have to ask for it there? Also last time I dealed with TAP they didnt have much older than like early 90s, is RTT better?

Its not a pick n pull if thats what you mean, and yes if they have it they will take n show you but no you dont get to wonder around. ha ha anyway ask for jonathan and if you tell him you heard of them from yotatech he gives good discount I dont remeber waht it is but it is good. I have been very happy with them even though my swap hasnt went real smooth yet he is helping fix things up. See link below for his yotatech thread...

Ok everyone I finally got not only my T100 ecu but was able to get wiring harness from rancho toy truck and pretty much everything else. The bad news is I am selling my truck today to robbie and i have directed him to this website i am hoping you guys will help him as much as you helped me. I am selling my truck because like i have said we have been getting laid off at work twice and now my plant is shutting down forever. This is very sad for me as my whole family works there and not only that but I had a really good job for someone who is deaf. I dont know what I am gonna do. I have to sell everything I own to try and get buy, I gave robbie a really good deal as I am taking a huge loss on this project. Good luck robbie I hope it works out great for you... Please do some reading and searching on this site then ask questions as there is a wealth of knowledge on here.
