My 1988 Toyota 4Runner

Feel free to post on this thread as it is just in the 86-95 Trucks & 4Runners section.

Well my first toyota ever was a beat up (but running strong) 1987 4Runner. picture:

After I had that for about 8 months i decided i wanted something else. Something a little nicer, maybe a bit more power, but still a 4Runner. so i started looking and it took me forever but i finally found the perfect 4Runner for me. A 1988 Toyota 4Runner, 3.0 5sp. I traveled from Bloomington, Illinois (my home town) to Madison, Wisonsin to pick her up.

Pictures of when i picked it up:

More pictures Here in the original thread.

Now here are some pictures just after having it an hour at my house. i took the running boards off and changed the wheels and tires:

Since i have bought it i have changed the cd deck to a JVC unit. Highflow cat, and flopro muffler, new stock black bumper (front), shift knob, nothing special.

Just a few days ago i ordered my NEW rims and tires. the rims are 15x8 Rock Crawlers, and the tires are 31x10.5 Kuhmo M/Ts.

Heres some pics of how it sits not...

Much better in my opinion. The tires do very good in the mud. I am very pleased with how everything came out.

It now has just under 200,000 miles and runs very good.

Those tires look really good; do they have good road manners? How are they off-road? In mud? What was the cost? BTW, I love those models, I wish I had one like that =(

so when you changed from the SR5 rims to the stock steel rims were you on drugs??? cuz im pretty sure that those steel rims are the ugliest thing toyota has ever made aside from the 3rd gen 4runner.

man i probably upseted a few people with that.
