Boy I wish I was getting as good gas milage as some of you. I have been driving 'Snowball' for a few days now and she is just drinking the go juice too fast. I figure I'll get 190 miles out of this tank. Of course she sat for about 5 months with a full tank of gas/stabil mix yes the gas is old. I was getting 240 +~- miles out of a tank of gas before and that is with 4.10 gearing and 35" rollers.

Wow, I must be way out of tune.
Next paycheck is getting wires, cap, rotor, timing check, fuel filter, air filter and Warn hubs.
You guys getting high teen MPGs suck, and I want to join your club.

With stock tires I was getting about 18mpg with my 92, 3.0, auto trans. I had a 90, exact same setup but manual trans and I could get 20 if I took it easy.
Since I put on the mud tires on my 92, mileage has dropped to 15, but that was only the 2nd tank and I did some off roading on both tanks. So I don't have highway only figures. But these figures may be off also because the speedo is off due to the larger tires. Plus I have been offroading on every tank of gas since I bought it so I don't have a full tank of only highway miles.

Bought my 95 on Mother's Day, funny thing about holidays, I bought my 2K Celica on Valentines's Day 2003, but I got 18.5 on my first full tank. 5 speed manual, completely stock, nothing modded yet and I shift around 3-3500K on the tach, no hard acceleration. O2 sensor went out and drove about 1/2 a tank with bad sensor. Replaced, finished tank and got 17. This is around town commute back and forth to work 26 miles a day. Will let you know what I get on my 1200+ mile trip to SoCal next month. If I can get 20+ I'll be happy! Wanna make my daughter jealous as she drives her Expedition down with me!

19.7
I have been keeping close track of my mileage lately as I'm starting to really fix up my '91 4Runner. Over the last 6-7 tanks, I have gone from 17 to a max of 19.7 mpg. I would say that I am about split evenly between highway/city, but I wonder if altitude would affect it? I am only at 4000ft, but still. Anyway...
Is it nerdy that I have a spreadsheet for this??? lol

I have not read the full thread yet, but make sure you factor in the effect if you are running larger tires with gearing for the smaller ones. This will give you less miles on the odometer for a tank of gas, so you have to add from 8% to 10% to the odometer reading to get the miles per gallon. If you drive with the ECT on, this will lower mileage.
I get around 17mpg if im light on the foot with an automatic and 30" tires geared for 28". My mileage is at least 70% interstate. The more interstate miles you travel, the better the mileage. Its hard to keep the 3.0L auto in 3rd or overdrive in town with the Torque converter locked up. Also keep in mind that the faster your speed, the worse your mileage. I keep my speed right around 60mph for best economy.
