It had a tag that Said TOYOTA and was designed to follow the curves of the early style grill. I bought it on craigslist for 50 banana's and sold it to my friend for 10. Looks real nice on his 91 4runner and I gave him a deal. I just needed it gone after I got my bumper.

YAAARRRRGGG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'll post pictures as soon as someone tell's me how.

When I tried to post the pictures, the red X in a box came up and I'm getting pissed, so here's a link.

Yours could be a dealer (I meant dealer option not factory) option also. First I've seen of that one though. Dealers can contract with different vendors for add on options that don't affect the factory warranty. So maybe in Florida they used X maker and in California they used Y maker.

It's pretty common to see the waag grill guard on the 2nd gen 4runners at the yards around here, most are bent up though. The waag's follow the lines also and wrap around the corner light, and mount using the same bolt holes as you described but come with longer bolts to accommodate the guard along with the tow hooks, it also has the tabs to mount to the bumper but I did not install those. It doesn't have the tabs to match up with the license plate bolt holes though.

Someone who owns a 2nd gen 4runner will know

The more pictures I see of these trucks with brush guards, the more I believe that this brush guard isn't for a my year toyota, if even for a toyota. The next one I buy, I will take it off the truck before I buy it.

Good looking Trucks ya'll have posted.

I saw a newer tacoma the other day that had a brush guard that looked just like the one you have. Maybe that is what it came off of?

Good possibility, or a newer four-runner either one.

I see what you're saying and you're probably right because I've seen two 4runners in the junkyard I usually go to with the same grill guard as the one I had but the light guards are different to match the 94 and 95 4runner grill. I'll post a picture of one of those. (BTW, how'd you get my picture in here?)
